1. Who We Are
ProTalk ("we", "our", "us") operates the ProTalk Business English mobile application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account data: email address, name, password (stored as a secure hash)
- Profile data: English proficiency level (A1–C2), learning interests, focus areas
- Learning data: lessons completed, vocabulary saved, study hours, streak days, quiz results
- Content: text you type in AI roleplay conversations
- Purchase data: subscription status (managed by Apple App Store / Google Play)
We do NOT collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone recordings.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalise the app experience
- Generate AI-powered lessons tailored to your level and interests
- Track learning progress and calculate statistics
- Sync your data across devices
- Improve app features and fix bugs
4. Third-Party Services
We share data with these services to operate the app:
- Anthropic (Claude AI): Lesson and roleplay content generation. Your topic requests and conversation text are processed by Anthropic's API. See anthropic.com/privacy.
- ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech audio generation. Lesson transcripts are sent to generate voice audio. See elevenlabs.io/privacy.
- RevenueCat: Subscription management. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
- Apple Sign In / Google Sign In: Authentication only. We receive your email and name (if you choose to share them).
- Our servers: All account and progress data is stored on our secure servers (EU-based).
We do NOT sell your data to advertisers or third parties.
5. AI-Generated Content
Lessons, vocabulary, quizzes, and roleplay responses in ProTalk may be generated by artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). AI-generated content is reviewed for quality but may occasionally contain errors. It is provided for educational purposes only.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@bep-app.com, or directly from the app via Settings → Delete Account.
7. Children's Privacy
ProTalk is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format

9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and JWT token authentication. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
